Job Summary: The Housekeeping Supervisor assists the Housekeeping Manager in running the daily operations of Hotel Housekeeping by ensuring guest rooms, suites, hotel storage, and other specified areas are kept in a clean and orderly condition. Problem solving, organization, attention to detail, great communication skills, and willingness to adapt to last minute changes are key to excelling in this role. Weekend and holiday availability and flexible scheduling is required during peak operating seasons (7-8 months/year).

 Housekeeping Supervisor Responsibilities:

  • Support the Housekeeping Manager in daily operations and keep supervisors updated on important matters.
  • Help implement department policies and procedures.
  • Communicate with housekeeping and front desk staff; act as the main contact for housekeeping staff when the manager is unavailable.
  • Update and confirm staff schedules, coordinate coverage with management.
  • Assign and track daily room assignments to ensure accuracy in the system.
  • Assist with seasonal projects like deep cleaning, inventory, and organizing storage areas.
  • Monitor and manage housekeeping supplies, placing orders as needed.
  • Follow safety regulations when handling cleaning chemicals.
  • Help onboard and train new housekeeping staff; attend training sessions and meetings.
  • Inspect rooms for quality and assist with housekeeping duties when necessary.

Resort Communication: Stay up to date on all resort happenings and events. Communicate directly with the Front Desk daily through email, phone, and radio, and Teams.

Resort Systems: Utilize hotel software system SMS Host, Microsoft Office product suite of Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Hotel Communication Log.

Customer Service Expectations: Employee is expected to be courteous and professional in accordance with Bolton’s commitment to providing superior customer service.

Qualifications: 1-2 years of Supervision Experience, High school diploma, with some prior housekeeping experience or training.

Physical and Mental Demands: Position involves lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 50 lbs. as well as pushing and pulling heavy objects.  Most of the work time is spent standing, walking, bending, pushing and pulling.  Some stress may result from dealing with difficult guests.

Work Environment: Most work is performed inside, but some outside shoveling of hotel room balconies is required.  Riding in and/or driving a Bolton vehicle may be required to access employee housing units for cleaning.
